About The Journeyman Geek

I’m a computer geek, and somewhat of a hardware enthusiast. While I don’t go to the level of overclocking my system to over 9000 ghz and accidentally melting my table, I do tend to be massively passionate about setting up systems that work well and are a joy to use for myself and those around me.

I also tend to be somewhat of a generalist, playing around with computer audio related stuff, both in terms of recording and music listening, linux (I’m running this on a dedicated server) and desktop hardware and software. I love technology, both in terms of the new shiny stuff, as well as old school technology.

I also believe its ok to be a snob and that the *experience* of computing isn’t just about basic input output, but about having an enjoyable experience where you don’t feel like you’re running a machine thrown together by the lowest bidder. Computing needs to be fun!

While I’m a moderator on Super User – any queries on moderation decisions need to go through the proper channels – there’s chatrooms, flags and other means to do so. This includes deletions. I’ll take compliments however 😉
