I’m a computer geek, and somewhat of a hardware enthusiast. While I don’t go to the level of overclocking my system to over 9000 ghz and accidentally melting my table, I do tend to be massively passionate about setting up systems that work well and are a joy to use for myself and those around me.
I also tend to be somewhat of a generalist, playing around with computer audio related stuff, both in terms of recording and music listening, linux (I’m running this on a dedicated server) and desktop hardware and software. I love technology, both in terms of the new shiny stuff, as well as old school technology.
I also believe its ok to be a snob and that the *experience* of computing isn’t just about basic input output, but about having an enjoyable experience where you don’t feel like you’re running a machine thrown together by the lowest bidder. Computing needs to be fun!
While I’m a moderator on Super User – any queries on moderation decisions need to go through the proper channels – there’s chatrooms, flags and other means to do so. This includes deletions. I’ll take compliments however 😉

Hi Geek,
Its user2301394 from SuperUser.com. You have resolved lots of queries which i had asked on Super User.
Thanks a lot.
I want to know do you know any programming language. As per my understanding you are jack of all trades.
Regards,
Rayad
Unfortunately no. Its on my list of things to learn I suppose, and I’ve been working at it. I’ve done a little python, but I wouldn’t consider myself to be anything beyond a toddler level programmer.
Geee OMG JMGEEK IS SO COOL WE’RE YOUR FANS OMG111!!!1ONE
I’m slightly disappointment that neither of these domains exist 😉 Hello Root Access!
Hey friend! I am trying to make network scanning work on an Epson Artisan 725 under Ubuntu 12.04 and am unable to find the esci-interpreter-gt-f720_0.0.0-1_amd64.deb file which seems to be all I am missing (based upon reading multiple post including yours.) You mentioned (albeit quite a long time ago) that you had this file. Is there any way I could secure a copy?
Thanks.
Its kinda curious you’d think I have that specific file. I’ve never actually set up a printer on linux, and most of my linux systems at the moment run as web/application servers, running entirely stock repos. I’d guess this would be on SU or AU, and would help so much if you could jog my memory on what *exactly* I was talking about, since I’m completely confused to what this is.

Done that. There’s a load of spam in my comments, so in future, try getting me on chat.
Zup, geek. I clicked over from S.E. where I answer the moderately-challenging GIS and Graphics pipeline questions (mostly.) I aimed to PM you, but a blog comment will do:
I think you should caption your terrier pix; we have a Cairn and love their mentality/temperament. Obviously they’re always up to something, the trick is catching them in the act so they look suspicious…then meme a quote in jest.
What’s your Cairn called — curious followers want 2 know!
Jason
He’s not actually a cairn. He’s a white schnauzer crossed with something sneaky – we think silky or
aussiewestie, cause his coat’s not as rough as most cairns we’ve seen.Oh, and he’s called Ash.
